ABOUT JOE

Joe Doyle is one of the founder members of the company that runs Hot Country. Joe first started his broadcasting career at the beginning of the 80’s and has appeared on such stations as North Dublin Community Radio, Moonlight Radio, Radio City, Dublin Community Radio, Kiss FM (Foley street), Radio Jackie and Ballymun Community Broadcasting.

In the 1990’s Joe got his first legal gig with Nine 7 Eleven Community Radio in Finglas before leaving to join forces with Tony O’Hara to reinvent the 80’s pirate Heartbeat FM.

Following the raids on Pirate stations in May of 2003 Joe co-founded Irish Music Radio which was given a Temporary license by The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (now the BAI) and Commenced broadcasting on Saturday June 12th 2004. Since then, and five license runs later, the station has grown and developed and is now called Hot Country

Joe is married to Audrey and has 5 children and 3 Grandchildren

Joe co presents Doyle & Doyle with Audrey every Saturday night 8 to 10pm.
